# Agent Tasks

> Background analysis and the in-app Correl8 assistant

**Agent Tasks** tracks background jobs from the **Correl8 assistant** — the in-app chat panel. This is separate from **your agent**, which posts observations via MCP.

The assistant knows your current page and date range, answers questions about observations, issues, and users, and can start longer analyses that appear here with a status (running, pending, completed, or cancelled).

Your agent posts observations; the assistant reads them.
